Technical data and applications

Solef® 11010 PVDF

Solef® 11010 PVDF is a typical thermoplastic material that is used as an additive to give polymer resins unique benefits, such as eliminating melt cracking and reducing mold scale.
Due to its incompatibility with most polymers and its fast flow in the melt during extrusion, Solef® 11010 PVDF forms a thin coating on the metal surface of the mold, which directly improves the processability of the extruded polymer (stabilization of unstable flows).

Key features:

  1. Elimination of melt rupture (sharkskin phenomenon)
  2. Reduced mold scale
  3. Improve surface finish to achieve high gloss
  4. Faster production start-up
  5. Reduce pressure
  6. Higher output under the condition of molding and temperature constan
  7. Lower energy consumption
These benefits are typically achieved with Solef® 11010 PVDF at a final concentration of 200-1000

  1. Original polymer pressure curve
  2. Add additives to the polymer-lubricant, the pressure is reduced
  3. Maximum yield of virgin polymer without melt rupture
  4. By adding a base polymer (200ppm processing aid), the yield is significantly increased without melt rupture

apply

Solef® 11010 PVDF has been specifically developed as an additive to improve extrusion, blow molding and rotational molding of high (low) density polyethylene and linear low density polyethylene.
Ideal for blown and cast film production, mainly for:
  1. Industrial packaging films
  2. Agricultural membranes
  3. (Co-extruded) food packaging films
  4. BOPP membrane
